Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Max Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Griffin Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stanley comes into the arena with Frotch Retirement Jam blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Max Stanley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Griffin Parker!
The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, David Hoff and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stanley shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Parker defends it nicely.
Stanley tries to work over Parker's front leg with a kick but Parker checks it.
Parker dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
We've been hearing reports that Stanley has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Stanley scoring well with a low kick there.
Parker misses with a straight right.
Parker lands a nice shot that snaps Stanley's head back.
Parker stuns Stanley with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Stanley tries to clinch there but Parker circles away.
Stanley tries to clinch but Parker is having none of it.
Stanley tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Parker swivels and escapes.
Parker throws out a powerful jab.
Stanley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Parker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Stanley misses with an attempted mid kick.
Parker keeps the fight on the outside.

Stanley throws a sloppy body shot
and Parker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Parker fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Stanley looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Stanley takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Parker misses with a body shot.
Stanley is looking to clinch but Parker is avoiding it.
Parker uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Stanley.

Stanley instigates a clinch.
Stanley goes for a takedown attempt but Parker pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Max Stanley. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stanley takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Stanley avoids the body shot from Parker.
Stanley shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Parker sprawls well. Parker wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Stanley gets slowly back to his feet.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parker throws a looping overhand right but Stanley ducks down to avoid it.

Stanley tries to clinch up
and Parker makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Stanley doesn't manage to clinch there - Parker circles away.
Parker dodges the punch combination from Stanley.
Parker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Griffin Parker is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Parker misses with an uppercut. Stanley saw that one coming.
Nice uppercut there from Parker.
Parker lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Stanley at a distance.
Stanley drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Stanley throws a right hand that Parker ducks under and follows up with a left that Parker also avoids with ease.
Stanley tries to clinch up but Parker circles away and keeps his distance.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Parker looks to land a right hand but Stanley moved out of range.
Parker misses the shot to the body.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Stanley. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Parker jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Stanley takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Stanley's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Parker connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stanley scrambles back to his feet.
Stanley lands with a kick to the ribs.
Griffin Parker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Stanley clinches.
Parker wants to break free but Stanley has control.

Stanley's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Parker tries to bum rush Stanley with a series of wild strikes but Stanley uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Parker darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Stanley closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Parker did well to prevent Stanley getting side control.
Parker tries to roll over but Stanley keeps him under control.

Stanley is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Parker has managed to free his arm - good work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Parker tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.

Stanley is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Parker wants to improve his position but Stanley is controlling well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Parker looking for submissions off his back.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Parker throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Griffin Parker dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Parker scores with a shot to the body.
Good shot there by Parker.
Parker connects with the punch.
Parker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stanley.
Parker lands with a nice combination. Stanley backs away looking to recover.
Parker with a nice cross.
Stanley goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Parker with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A looping hook to the body misses from Parker. Stanley does a little dance to reset his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Stanley.
Stanley missing with knees to the body.
Parker is pressed up against the cage. Stanley has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Parker down to the mat. Parker avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Parker thows a left - swing and a miss!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stanley takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Parker ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Stanley misses with a looping left.
Stanley moves in looking to clinch but Parker pushes him off.
Stanley ducks under a wild hook from Parker.
Parker jabs Stanley to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Nice shot by Parker.
Griffin Parker seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Parker throws a hook to the side of Stanley's head but Stanley sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Parker takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Stanley takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Parker connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.


Stanley is rocked!
Stanley gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Parker gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Stanley is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Griffin Parker!
In defeat, Max Stanley stepped up to the mic, saying 'BLAHHH!'.
