The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shigeki Sano.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grundy tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Grundy misses with a series of wild punches.
Duarte misses with a body kick.
Duarte throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Grundy misses with a kick to the body.
Grundy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Duarte can pounce on him.
Duarte looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Grundy tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Duarte paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Duarte digs a good hook to Grundy's body.

Duarte throws a leg kick
and Duarte takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Duarte thows a body shot but no joy.

Grundy drives through and clinches with Duarte against the cage.

Duarte turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Duarte manages to end up in side control.

Grundy is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Grundy gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Duarte is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Grundy can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Duarte misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Duarte has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Duarte is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Grundy is forced to tap! Great finish!
