The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harris fails with the takedown
and Lein counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Harris thinking.
Lein misses with a lunging right hand

and Harris counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Lein told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Harris tries to free his leg and advance position but Lein is retaining full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lein is looking to stand up but Harris isn't so interested in that idea.
Harris pushes down on Lein's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Lein is looking for a sweep. Harris is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Harris in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Lein tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Harris!
