Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Murdock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hank Redford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matthew Murdock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Hank Redford!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redford walks into a left hand.
Murdock stuffs the takedown attempt from Redford. Redford gets slowly back to his feet.
Redford on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Murdock takes the fight into the clinch.
Redford is trying to push Murdock away but Murdock has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Murdock working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely.
Murdock prevents a takedown attempt there.
Murdock manages to break the clinch.
Redford has his takedown stuffed
and Murdock counters with a good, hard body kick but Redford shrugs it off.
Matthew Murdock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hank Redford.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Redford takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Murdock looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Murdock darts in and clinches Redford up against the cage.
Murdock unloads a knee to the mid-section.
Redford looks winded!

A knee to the head by Murdock.
Murdock lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Murdock softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Redford is trying to drag Murdock to the mat but Murdock just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
A right handed body shot lands from Murdock.
Murdock's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Murdock fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Redford, pushing him back against the cage.
Murdock lands a body punch in the clinch.
Redford goes for a takedown attempt but Murdock pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Murdock lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Murdock bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Redford's head backwards.
Murdock lands a big head kick that sends Redford tumbling to the mat! Murdock takes a step backwards and waves Redford back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Murdock and Redford are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Murdock throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Redford into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Murdock knows it - he's on the cage flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Matthew Murdock!
Matthew Murdock really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Cage Star logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
