Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Bagares (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roy Batista will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bagares leaves Batista with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bagares lands with a kick to the temple. Batista shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

It looks like Roy Batista has been cut.
Bagares scores with the left hand. Batista knows he should have avoided that one.
Roy Batista seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bagares scoring well with a low kick there.
Batista shoots in looking for a takedown but Bagares manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Batista's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
A head kick by Batista misses
and Bagares counters with a slapping leg kick.

Batista feints and as Bagares raises his hands in defense, Batista changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bagares has momentary wrist control but Batista slips an elbow through the middle.
Batista is standing up over Bagares. Bagares looks to escape but Batista dives into side control.

Batista has an Americana. Bagares didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Batista is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Batista hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
