The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kilpatrick throws a right hand that Short ducks under and follows up with a left that Short also avoids with ease.
Kilpatrick tries to clinch
and Short counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Short dodges the punch combination from Kilpatrick.
Kilpatrick is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Short misses with a takedown attempt - Kilpatrick sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Kilpatrick lands a left and a right that send Short crashing to the mat, dazed. Kilpatrick thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Short is rocked!
It looks like Marcus Short has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kilpatrick lands with a right and another and another! Short is in big trouble! Kilpatrick lands again and this time it's lights out for Short! A quality knockout there for Kilpatrick.
