The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Shlemenko moves in looking to clinch but Doido pushes him off.
Shlemenko wants to clinch.

Doido gets tackled into the cage by Shlemenko. Shlemenko maintains the clinch.
Shlemenko gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Shlemenko lands an elbow inside.
Doido takes an elbow to the temple.

It looks like El Loko Doido has been cut.
Doido wants to break free but Shlemenko has control.
Shlemenko lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Shlemenko lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Shlemenko lands an elbow inside that Doido shrugs off.
Shlemenko creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Doido's defenses.
Doido is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Shlemenko is defending well.
Doido has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Shlemenko avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

El Loko Doido seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Shlemenko is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Doido tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shlemenko defends well and Doido ends up having to push Shlemenko into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Doido wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Shlemenko has him pressed against the cage.

Shlemenko gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.

Doido is pressed against the cage. Shlemenko pushes back and unleashes a big elbow that really hurts Doido! Two more big strikes from Shlemenko and Doido crumples to the mat and taps out furiously due to the strikes!
