Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Titus Everett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Granville Fortier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Titus Everett has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Titus Everett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Granville Fortier!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Steve Smith and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Fortier feints and as Everett raises his hands in defense, Fortier changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Everett looking to control but Fortier passes into half guard.
Fortier is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Fortier tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Everett tries to hold on but Fortier postures up.

Fortier working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Fortier looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Everett wants to control but Fortier is having none of it.
Fortier content just to control the position here.
Fortier lands a couple of good shots and Everett has given up his back, trying to escape the position!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fortier working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fortier has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Everett's body.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Everett wants to escape the position.
Everett is taking damage to the body and head.


It looks like Titus Everett has been cut.
Fortier biding his time, controlling Everett.
Everett holding on to Fortier's left wrist, preventing the choke.
Fortier controls the position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
I really don't envy Everett right now.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fortier slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Fortier controlling the positon.
Everett really is a fat lump.
Everett can't escape the position.
Fortier keeps control of the position easily here as Everett tries to buck him off.
Everett tries to escape but Fortier has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Everett is working hard here to advance position.
Everett trying to get back to his feet but Fortier is in full control for now.
Fortier lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.

Everett wants to get back to his feet.

Fortier looking for the RNC.
Everett is trying to break free.
Everett is breathing heavily.

Fortier is looking for the choke from the back position but Everett is controlling his hands well.
Fortier is not going to allow Everett to sit and survive in this position.
What can Everett do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
It looks like Fortier might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Everett trying to control the hands but Fortier breaks the grip.
Fortier has good solid back control here.

Everett defending nicely against the rear naked choke attempt.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Fortier controlling the position well here. Everett rolled but Fortier kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Everett can't escape the position.
Everett looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
I really don't envy Everett right now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Granville Fortier dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Titus Everett's cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!


Everett closes this distance looking for a takedown but Fortier circles away.
Fortier blocks a jab.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Fortier.
Fortier shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Fortier gets the takedown into side control.

Fortier thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Everett tries to improve position but can't.
You can see the frustration on Everett's face as Fortier controls the position.
Everett is trying to control Fortier's posture but Fortier avoids it.
Everett is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fortier wants to stand but Everett has his arm trapped.
Everett tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Fortier easily slips into full mount!
Fortier postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Everett looks a forlorn figure.

Fortier's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Fortier landing strikes from the mount and Everett is in trouble!


Titus Everett's cut is getting worse.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fortier takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Everett slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Everett has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fortier is working away from the top position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Fortier prevents Everett from improving his position.
Fortier passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Everett!
Fortier breaks from Everett's wrist control and lands an elbow.


Titus Everett's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.
Fortier fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!


Everett is rocked!


Jeez, Titus Everett's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Titus Everett's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Granville Fortier!
