The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Mamba. No joy for Silva on that attempt.
Silva has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Mamba.
Mamba misses with a leg kick

and Silva counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mamba's guard now.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Silva lands a couple of elbows.
Silva forces his way into half guard.
Silva passes to side control.

Mamba gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Mamba tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Silva has control of Mamba's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Mamba regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mamba takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Silva postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Mamba looks a forlorn figure.

Silva has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Titan Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
A big strike lands for Silva! That's really hurt Mamba and he's turned his back - Silva keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Silva jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
