Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Robert Bootertown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Atsushi Murasakibara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Atsushi Murasakibara!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bootertown shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Murasakibara napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Bootertown controls the position.
Bootertown's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Robert Bootertown wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bootertown darts in looking for a takedown but Murasakibara gets double underhooks and turns Bootertown into the cage.
Murasakibara tries a body shot but Bootertown blocks it.

Murasakibara tries to break free but Bootertown pushes him back against the cage.
Bootertown is pressed up against the cage. Murasakibara has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Bootertown down to the mat. Bootertown avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Murasakibara shoots in but Bootertown avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Bootertown closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bootertown lands in his opponent's guard.

Bootertown has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bootertown slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Murasakibara gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Bootertown counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bootertown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Murasakibara is trying desperately to improve position.

Murasakibara tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Murasakibara fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bootertown avoids it really well and circles away.
Murasakibara tries to land a front kick but Bootertown steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Murasakibara shoots in looking for a takedown. Bootertown tries to sprawl out of it but Murasakibara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bootertown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Murasakibara enables Bootertown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Murasakibara manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Murasakibara can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Bootertown controls the pace.
Bootertown seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Murasakibara for as long as he can get away with.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Bootertown is pushing down on Murasakibara's leg trying to pass to half guard. Murasakibara is fighting to maintain full guard but Bootertown has managed to sneak the leg through.
Murasakibara is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Murasakibara is trying to maintain the position but Bootertown is very close to passing his half guard.

Robert Bootertown overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bootertown is staying tight to Murasakibara's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Bootertown goes for a double leg but Murasakibara avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Murasakibara continues to drive forward.
Bootertown is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Bootertown has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Murasakibara regains guard immediately.

Bootertown controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Murasakibara manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Bootertown is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Murasakibara thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. And we move into the final round!


Murasakibara shoots for a takedown but Bootertown saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Murasakibara throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bootertown.

Bootertown throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Murasakibara was covering up waiting for the punch and Bootertown finishes the takedown easily into guard.
