Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Torrio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Francois Duvalier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Duvalier's choice of entrance music: Haitian National Anthem. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Torrio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Francois Duvalier!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duvalier misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Torrio.
Torrio tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Torrio throws the left hand but Duvalier avoids the punch easily.
Donk. Duvalier catches Torrio right on the button with a cross.
Torrio looks for a takedown but Duvalier sprawls well.
Torrio pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Duvalier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Torrio swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Torrio takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The fight stays on the outside here - Duvalier looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Torrio lands with a thumping leg kick.
Torrio tries to land a front kick but Duvalier steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Duvalier digs a good hook to Torrio's body.
Torrio avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Duvalier tries to clinch but Torrio moves out of range.
Duvalier throws a jab but it's blocked by Torrio.
Torrio misses with a body kick.
Torrio shoots for a takedown but Duvalier saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Duvalier keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Torrio.
Nice defenses there by Torrio.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Torrio.
Duvalier ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Torrio is breathing heavily.
Duvalier fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Francois Duvalier is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Duvalier drops Torrio with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Torrio looks back up at him and smiles so Duvalier waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.


Torrio is rocked!


It looks like John Torrio has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Duvalier darts in and lands a big hook, right on the button! Torrio's legs crumble underneath him as he falls to the canvas! The ref tackles Duvalier before he gets to land any more shots to his stricken foe.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Francois Duvalier!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Francois Duvalier waved his t-shirt featuring Affordable Quality + Reliable Laundry's logo in front of the cameras.
