Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Sandor Orkas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kamil Gadzhiev!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Ackerman and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gadzhiev with a poor takedown

and Orkas decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gadzhiev's guard.
Orkas has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Orkas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gadzhiev is proving hard to escape from.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Sandor Orkas.

Gadzhiev should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sandor Orkas overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
