Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Ross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Sigurdson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Tomas Sigurdson was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Ross!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomas Sigurdson!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ross misses the shot to the body.
Ross feints and then cracks Sigurdson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Sigurdson down.

Sigurdson looks gassed!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Oooh a lovely combination from Ross sends Sigurdson down but not out. Ross dives into side control looking to finish.


It looks like Tomas Sigurdson has been cut.
Sigurdson prevents Ross from improving position.
Ross remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Sigurdson sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Bob Ross just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sigurdson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A combination from Ross does no damage.
Ross stuffs the takedown.
Ross cracks a nice hook into Sigurdson's ribs.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sigurdson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ross lands a nice leg kick that just misses Sigurdson's sensitive parts.
Sigurdson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ross moves in looking to clinch but Sigurdson pushes him off.
Sigurdson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Sigurdson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Ross fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Sigurdson steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Ross. That one must have hurt.
Sigurdson is breathing heavily.

Ross forces Sigurdson back against the cage and clinches.

Ross pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ross moves in looking to clinch but Sigurdson pushes him off.
Ross drops Sigurdson with a left right combo! Ross follows him down to the ground into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Sigurdson takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.

Sigurdson is looking to regain half guard here but Ross keeps moving and retains side control.
Sigurdson stops Ross from passing to mount.
Sigurdson tries to bench press Ross off him but Ross keeps the position.
Ross moves into full mount!
Ross tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sigurdson is squirming around, avoiding Ross's attempts to control the action.

Sigurdson defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Ross.
Sigurdson wants to control but Ross is having none of it.
Ross is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Sigurdson can do to turn this around?

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Sigurdson can't escape the position.
Sigurdson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Ross postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Sigurdson looks a forlorn figure.
Ross fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Sigurdson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Ross cracks Sigurdson with a right hand to the side of the head.
Sigurdson takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Bob Ross seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sigurdson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Ross lands a jab to the head.
Sigurdson takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Ross throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sigurdson.
Ross is looking to wear down Sigurdson with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Ross tries to close the distance and clinch but Sigurdson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Sigurdson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ross fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sigurdson on the side of the head.
Bob Ross is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ross tries to clinch up but Sigurdson circles away and keeps his distance.
Ross scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Ross lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

Ross wants to clinch up but Sigurdson keeps it at a distance.
Ross thuds a left hand into Sigurdson's body.
Ross is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Ross fails with an attempt to clinch.
Nice shot lands for Ross.
Sigurdson keeps the fight on the outside.

Sigurdson walks forward, straight into a front kick from Ross.
Sigurdson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Ross.
Sigurdson on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

Ross tries to clinch up but Sigurdson circles away and keeps his distance.
Nice uppercut there from Ross.
Sigurdson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Ross tries to close the distance and clinch but Sigurdson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Ross scores with a one two! Sigurdson had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Bob Ross is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Ross lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Ross lands with a straight right. Sigurdson didn't see that one coming.
Tomas Sigurdson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ross lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

And that's the end of the fight!

Well Ross has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
