The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bannon clinches up with Roth and pushes him back against the cage.
Roth tries to break the clinch but Bannon is controlling the position.
Bannon lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

Roth tries to break free but Bannon pushes him back against the cage.

Bannon has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Roth regains guard immediately.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bannon controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Roth throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Roth not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Bannon is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Bannon ducks under a wild hook from Roth.
Roth is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Bannon moves into range and clinches up with Roth.

Bannon gets to his feet. Roth looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Bannon changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bannon throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Roth stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Bannon has picked Roth up - he's going for a ride! Bannon dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Bannon perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Bannon stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Roth to get to his feet.
Bannon feints with a left and delivers a massive head kick! Roth collapses like a ragdoll! Game over!
