Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Birdman Lugz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joney Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 42 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Birdman Lugz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joney Snow!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Chris Downing and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lugz forces Snow back against the cage and clinches.
Snow tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Birdman Lugz has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Snow has closed the distance and engaged Lugz in a clinch.

Lugz has picked Snow up - he's going for a ride! Lugz dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Snow is trying to maintain the position but Lugz is very close to passing his half guard.
Lugz is looking to advance position but Snow won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snow might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Lugz haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Lugz seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Birdman Lugz.

Snow is pushing down on Lugz's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lugz is fighting to maintain full guard but Snow has managed to sneak the leg through.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Snow is trying to control. Lugz wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Joney Snow will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Lugz connects with a looping right hand.

Snow pulls guard effortlessly.
Snow has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Nonprofit Vegas Elite $50 ($1000 value). Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Birdman Lugz just wasn't active enough.
Snow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Lugz takes the fight into the clinch.
Snow is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Lugz is defending well for now.

Snow sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lugz's guard.

Snow is looking to advance position but Lugz won't allow it.

Snow is looking to work his way around to Lugz's back. He needs to be careful though, as he's in danger of losing this dominant position.

Snow can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Lugz is looking to escape.

Lugz is wriggling around here but as he tries to escape, Snow has taken his back.

Snow is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lugz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Lugz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lugz drops down looking for an ankle pick but Snow pulls his leg out and moves away.

Lugz has Snow pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Lugz pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Snow tumbling to the mat - Lugz dives into Snow's guard.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Snow is trying to control the position but Lugz postures up.

Snow fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lugz, pushing him back against the cage.

Lugz has clasped his hands together around Snow's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Lugz's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Lugz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Lugz lands a really nice looking cross but Snow seems unphased.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Birdman Lugz has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Birdman Lugz showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Snow has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Joney Snow rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
