Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gerard De Villefort!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Proceso El Chongki!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from El Chongki misses.
De Villefort moves out of range of the body kick.
El Chongki just misses with a punch to the body.
De Villefort tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - El Chongki has eaten all the pies!
De Villefort looks to score with a jab to the body but El Chongki is just out of range.
De Villefort fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but El Chongki avoids it really well and circles away.

El Chongki shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in De Villefort's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
El Chongki is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
De Villefort looking to hit a scissor sweep but El Chongki is one step ahead there.
El Chongki must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
De Villefort is working hard here to advance position.

El Chongki slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Proceso El Chongki.

El Chongki fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging De Villefort to the ground. El Chongki is now in De Villefort's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Gerard De Villefort.
El Chongki throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
El Chongki throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.

El Chongki shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
De Villefort thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

De Villefort is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

El Chongki tries to free his leg and advance position but De Villefort is retaining full guard.

El Chongki gets to his feet. De Villefort looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

El Chongki shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
El Chongki really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Villefort. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

De Villefort trying to hold on to El Chongki's head to control him but El Chongki postures up.
El Chongki looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

El Chongki is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Proceso El Chongki dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

It looks like Gerard De Villefort has been cut.
El Chongki tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Villefort paws at him with a jab and circles away.
El Chongki wants to clinch up but De Villefort keeps it at a distance.
El Chongki has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as De Villefort is landing a low percentage of strikes.
El Chongki stuffs the takedown attempt from De Villefort. De Villefort gets slowly back to his feet.
De Villefort throws a series of punches but El Chongki avoids them all with ease.
El Chongki looks to land a left hand but De Villefort moved out of range nicely.
El Chongki throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
De Villefort tries to clinch but El Chongki moves out of range.
De Villefort moves in looking to clinch but El Chongki pushes him off.

The fight stays on the outside here - De Villefort looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

El Chongki tries to bum rush De Villefort with a series of wild strikes but De Villefort uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
El Chongki keeps the fight on the outside.
El Chongki punishes De Villefort's body with a nice straight punch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
De Villefort wants to clinch up but El Chongki keeps it at a distance.

El Chongki is nestled in close to De Villefort, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
El Chongki seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but De Villefort does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. El Chongki lands a nice short elbow.

De Villefort gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

El Chongki has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes De Villefort off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
De Villefort tries to close the distance and clinch but El Chongki swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

De Villefort wants a takedown but no success here.

El Chongki breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
El Chongki throws a combination but it was largely blocked by De Villefort.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
El Chongki keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Proceso El Chongki is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Well El Chongki has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
