Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Peter Gongor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robo Pope (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pope comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ghost - Monstrance Clock kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The key to victory for Peter Gongor has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gongor closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pope to the mat! Pope manages to get full guard.
Pope looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pope keeping moving, preventing Gongor from controlling successfully.
Gongor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pope wants to get back to his feet but Gongor is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Peter Gongor.

Gongor dives in and scores a takedown into Pope's guard.
Gongor tries to free his leg and advance position but Pope is retaining full guard.
We've been hearing that Gongor has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Gongor is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Gongor decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Pope gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gongor controls from within his opponent's guard.

Gongor stands up and waves to Pope to follow him.

Pope throws a sloppy head kick

and Gongor counters with a crisp one two that drops Pope! Gongor thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Pope to his feet! Pope is in big trouble!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gongor is looking to clinch.
Gongor wants to clinch up but Pope keeps it at a distance.
Robo Pope is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gongor tries to close the distance and clinch but Pope swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Gongor manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Pope on his heels. He'll look to pass Pope's guard now, I'm sure.
Gongor is stalling in the full guard.

Gongor decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Robo Pope seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gongor darts in and clinches Pope up against the cage.

Gongor pulls Pope into guard.

Gongor looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Pope passes into side control.
Gongor tries to bench press Pope off him but Pope keeps the position.

Pope stands up.
Pope swats away the attempt to clinch by Gongor.
Pope throws a lazy head kick
and Gongor counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Pope thinking.
Gongor shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Pope as he jumps to the side.

Gongor feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gongor is really struggling to control Pope but he's trying to hold on to the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Gongor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

A head kick by Pope misses
and Gongor counters with a massive head kick! KABOOM! Pope is out cold! A devastating KO!

An intense looking Peter Gongor took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'suck this dick!'.
Robo Pope was interviewed post fight and said 'Vengeance is mine.'.
