Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neemias Error (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Error has chosen Ace of Spades as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ray Hughes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Neemias Error!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes gets tackled into the cage by Error. Error maintains the clinch.
Hughes misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Error.
Hughes misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Hughes tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Error avoids it.

Error keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hughes's efforts to push away.

Hughes tries to circle away but Error has him pinned against the cage.
Error is trying to pull guard but Hughes has him pressed against the cage.

Error ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Error no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Error jumps guard but Hughes stands there with Error around his waist. Error gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hughes's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Error rushes Hughes and presses him up against the cage.

Hughes lands a good knee to the midsection. Error won't want to take too many of those.
Error tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Hughes just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ray Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Neemias Error.

Hughes looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Error jumps into guard, dragging Hughes to the mat.
Hughes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Error is proving hard to escape from.

Hughes decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

and Error holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Hughes tries a head kick but it misses.
Error swats away the attempt to clinch by Hughes.

and Hughes connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Hughes lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Error backwards.

Hughes lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hughes misses with a punch to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Error is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

Hughes lands with a right to the head.
Error is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Hughes to keep the fight standing.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Neemias Error will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

and Error counters with a good low kick that Hughes was not able to check.

Hughes tries to close the distance and clinch up but Error swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Hughes really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Error counters with a left and a right that stings Hughes.
Error throws a low kick but it's checked well by Hughes.
Hughes throws a hook to the side of Error's head but Error sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Error closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Hughes quickly recovers to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Hughes is trying to control but can't.
Error seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Ray Hughes.
I think Hughes has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
