Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Longhold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Knack Wupp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Knack Wupp!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wupp with a poor takedown

and Longhold counters with a shoot takedown. Wupp fights it but they end up in guard.
Wupp working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Longhold.
Wupp keeping moving, preventing Longhold from controlling successfully.

Wupp escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Longhold gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Longhold stands up over Wupp, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Longhold throwing strikes but missing.
Longhold stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wupp swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wupp throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Longhold postures up.
Wupp wants to sweep here but Longhold controlling him for the moment.
Longhold works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Longhold wants to take a breather but Wupp is having none of it.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Longhold connects with a nice short shot to Wupp's temple.
Wupp tries to get to full guard but Longhold has control of the leg.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Longhold makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Wupp tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Longhold trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Wupp is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Longhold defends well.

Wupp is looking for a sweep. Longhold is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Longhold is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Wupp trying to hold on to Longhold's head to control him but Longhold postures up.
Wupp is trying to stand up here but Longhold is controlling him well.
Longhold drops an elbow to the side of Wupp's head.
Wupp wants to improve his position but Longhold is controlling well.
Longhold wants to control but Wupp is keeping him busy.

Longhold throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Longhold sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wupp defending well though.
Longhold takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Longhold winds up and cracks Wupp with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Wupp is staying active underneath Longhold, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Wupp is looking to control Longhold's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Wupp avoid being mounted?
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Wupp is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Longhold scores with a couple of nice shots.
Longhold is nestled in close to Wupp, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Wupp shoots in looking for a takedown but Longhold manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wupp's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Longhold looks to land a combination but Wupp avoids it well.
Wupp shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Longhold eats them both and turns towards Wupp to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Danga de danga de dang - Longhold scores with a four punch combination!

It looks like Knack Wupp has been cut.
Wupp moves out of range of the body kick from Longhold.
The fight stays on the outside here - Wupp looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Wupp slips a straight right by Longhold.
Longhold slaps away a takedown attempt from Wupp, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Longhold missing with a left hand there. Wupp was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wupp goes for a double leg but Longhold avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Longhold continues to drive forward.
Steve Longhold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Knack Wupp.
Longhold prevents Wupp from breaking the clinch.

Longhold is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Wupp is defending well for now.
Longhold tries to land knees in the clinch but Wupp avoids the damage to the body.
Longhold works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
Wupp tries for a takedown but Longhold manages to get underhooks.
Wupp is breathing heavily.

Wupp tightens his grip and picks Longhold up, before dumping him to the ground. Longhold manages to land in guard.
Longhold lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Wupp!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Wupp wants to control but Longhold is having none of it.
Longhold lands a big shot to the head and Wupp winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
