The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkins has managed to clinch.
Smith tries to pull guard but Atkins holds him up against the cage and eventually Smith drops back down to his feet.
Atkins fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Smith tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Atkins just stands there and leans against the cage.
Atkins jumps guard and drags Smith to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Smith stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Atkins throws up his legs and catches Smith in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Smith tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Atkins! That came out of nowhere!
