The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anders misses with a jab, cross combination.
Thomas staying out of range there.
Anders has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Anders throws a series of punches but Thomas moves out of range.
Some wild striking there from Anders.
Anders lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thomas circles away quickly and effectively.
A left and a right from Anders both land. Nice combination.
A swing and a miss from Thomas.
Thomas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Anders momentarily.

A looping hook to the body misses from Anders. Thomas does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Thomas counters with a single leg into guard. Anders didn't expect that.

Anders knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Thomas on the ground.

Thomas is working Anders over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Anders on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Anders tries to get out of the position.

Thomas gets to his feet and stands over Anders, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Anders felt that one! Thomas unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Anders from any more punishment!
