Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mama Sitas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Jesus Christ!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Colin Fotheringham and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christ tries to clinch up
and Sitas moves into the clinch.
Sitas has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Christ is trying to keep an underhook but Sitas manages to get the takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Sitas lands strikes from half guard.
Sitas trying to control the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sitas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Sitas decides to stand and escape the position.
Sitas slips a jab from Christ.
Sitas misses with a head kick.
Christ lands a really nice looking cross but Sitas seems unphased.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Christ bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Sitas shoots in and bounces Christ off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Christ is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sitas defends well.
Christ isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Sitas stacks Christ on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Sitas!
Christ really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sitas. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sitas looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Christ tries to improve position but can't.
Sitas is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Christ is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sitas controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sitas advances nicely into full mount.
Sitas putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Christ tries to improve his position but instead Sitas has taken his back!
Sitas has the hooks in. Christ is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
I would not like to be Christ right now.
Sitas working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Christ is doing well to defend. Sitas seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Christ is forced to tap and this one is over!
