PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cristian Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Emory Majors (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emory Majors struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 172.1lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 15 - 0, fighting out of New York, Emory Majors!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Majors lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Romero throws a sloppy head kick
and Majors counters with a left and a right that stings Romero.
Majors misses with a series of wild punches.
Majors misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Romero gets a double leg takedown into Majors's guard.
Majors is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Romero looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Majors with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
