Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Milton Poindexter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamed Ali Said (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Milton Poindexter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ali Said stuffs the takedown.

Ali Said clinches up against the cage.

Ali Said breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Ali Said decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Poindexter wants to control but Ali Said is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ali Said seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Ali Said is looking for a kimura but Poindexter is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Ali Said to get the leverage.
Poindexter trying to hold on to Ali Said's head to control him but Ali Said postures up.
Poindexter moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Ali Said controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Let's hope that Ali Said has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Mohamed Ali Said.
Poindexter tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ali Said drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Poindexter bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ali Said's guard.

Ali Said is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ali Said is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Poindexter sees it coming and defends easily.

Ali Said decides to stand and escape the position.
Poindexter is looking to clinch but Ali Said is avoiding it.

Ali Said fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Poindexter, pushing him back against the cage.
Ali Said is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Ali Said manages to break the clinch.

Poindexter gets tackled into the cage by Ali Said. Ali Said maintains the clinch.
Poindexter has a couple of punches blocked by Ali Said.
Poindexter is trying to force a seperation but Ali Said has the dominant position.

Ali Said wants to stand but Poindexter is controlling the position.

Ali Said stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Ali Said wants it to stay on the feet.

Ali Said has hold of one of Poindexter's legs. Poindexter is fighting the takedown attempt but Ali Said gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Ali Said has gone for a leg lock! Poindexter slips out almost immediately though and dives into Ali Said's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Ali Said controls Poindexter momentarily but Poindexter frees himself.
Poindexter has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ali Said is proving hard to escape from.
Poindexter stands and throws Ali Said's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Ali Said tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ali Said shoots in for a double leg but Poindexter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Ali Said dives in for a single leg takedown but Poindexter sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Ali Said tries to close the distance and clinch but Poindexter swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Ali Said throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Poindexter tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Ali Said is in Poindexter's guard.
Poindexter will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Poindexter is working an open guard so Ali Said takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Poindexter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ali Said but Ali Said pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Ali Said has his foot on Poindexter's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Poindexter works his way back into a safe position though.

Both fighters circling a little - Ali Said finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

Poindexter tries to get to full guard but Ali Said has control of the leg.

Ali Said has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Well Ali Said has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Mohamed Ali Said opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
