Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Greg Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Musaab Jr Mustafa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Musaab Jr Mustafa!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Paul Tew and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mustafa drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Mustafa won't allow Kerr to sweep him here.
Mustafa loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Musaab Jr Mustafa wasn't active enough on the ground.

Mustafa throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kerr tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mustafa is in Kerr's guard.

Kerr manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mustafa manages to get himself to full guard.

Mustafa stands and steps away. Kerr gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Mustafa rushes Kerr and presses him up against the cage.
Kerr tries to circle away but Mustafa has him pinned against the cage.

Mustafa gets a trip takedown into half guard.

Mustafa is taking a breather. Kerr says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Mustafa drives through with a takedown into Kerr's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Mustafa is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mustafa is looking to work some ground and pound but Kerr has wrist control.

Kerr can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mustafa controls the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Musaab Jr Mustafa was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Mustafa scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!


It looks like Greg Kerr has been cut.

Mustafa closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Kerr to the mat! Kerr manages to get full guard.
Kerr is breathing heavily.
Kerr is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Mustafa controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mustafa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kerr swivels though and keeps the full guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mustafa accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Musaab Jr Mustafa dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Greg Kerr's cut.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Kerr circles away from the clinch attempt.

Mustafa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Mustafa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Mustafa creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Kerr sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Mustafa laying and praying for a moment but Kerr takes advantage and regains half guard.
Mustafa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mustafa wants to take a breather but Kerr is having none of it.
Kerr is trying to maintain the position but Mustafa is very close to passing his half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kerr tries to get to full guard but Mustafa has control of the leg.

Mustafa decides to return to a standing position.
Mustafa lands with a kick to the temple. Kerr shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


Kerr is rocked!
I'm just looking down at my notes here and I see that.... oh! Mustafa has cracked Kerr with a big right, followed by a left! He's out on his feet! Mustafa lands another huge swinging hook and Kerr tumbles to the canvas! The ref dives in to save Kerr, before Mustafa can land any more shots!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Musaab Jr Mustafa!
