Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a nice outside leg kick.

Silva misses with a head kick.
Silva scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ray defending against the ground and pound.
Silva lands a few punches from side control.
Silva throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Ray regains half guard, as Silva was trying to land strikes.
Ray wants to improve his position but Silva is controlling well.
Silva with the ground and pound but Ray uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Ray is looking to stand up but Silva isn't so interested in that idea.

Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ray swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Silva throws an elbow that misses. Ray uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Silva 's guard. Nice move by Ray!

Silva manages to control the position for a moment.
Ray wants to finish this one by submission but Silva is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Ray.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ray goes for an armbar but Silva turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Silva .
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Silva tries to score with some ground and pound. Ray controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Ray is looking for a sweep.
Silva postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

You can see the frustration on Ray's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ray tries to bench press Silva off him but Silva keeps the position.

Ray is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Silva 's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Ray won't allow Silva to pass to mount.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Silva connects with a nice short shot to Ray's temple.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Ray will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Silva is looking to work some ground and pound but Ray has wrist control.

Silva postures up in Ray's guard and throws a big left but Ray blocks it.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Silva 's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Silva arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Ray's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

Alonzo Silva bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
