Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between David Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrico Matta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Matta has chosen Velociraptor by SUBSONICA as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Matta avoids it really well and circles away.
Matta scores with a punch to the head.
Matta throws a body kick that misses.
Matta misses with a kick to the body.
Matta connects with a body shot that sends Perez's belly button to the back.
Perez on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Matta throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Perez shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Matta defends it nicely.

Perez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Matta.
Perez dives in and grabs Matta's left leg, looking for a takedown. Matta pushes down on Perez's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Perez. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Matta tries to land a front kick but Perez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Nice takedown defense from Matta. No joy for Perez on that attempt.

Matta connects with a nasty looking knee right to Perez's face.

It looks like David Perez has been cut.

Matta creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Perez with a big uppercut! Perez tries to clinch up but Matta pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Perez to the mat! Perez covers up and Matta unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
