The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tate looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Tate misses with a wild combination.
Smash rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Tate moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tate drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Smash is looking to regain half guard here but Tate keeps moving and retains side control.
Smash manages to get back to half guard.
Smash is trying to stand.
Smash is trying to control but can't.
Tate looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Tate is trying to work for a kimura. He's got his hands clasped together - this could be trouble! No, Smash has managed to free his arm - good work.
Tate prevents Smash from improving his position.

Smash looks like he's trying to stand up.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Smash throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Tate holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Tate breaks from the clinch.
Tate walks forward, straight into a front kick from Smash.
Tate looks gassed!
Smash connects with a vicious head kick that knocks Tate to the floor! Smash dives in looking for the finish!
Tate is rocked!
It looks like Terrence Tate has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
Smash seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Tate is still in real trouble! Can Smash finish him?
Tate is looking to improve his position.
Tate seems to have recovered his senses.
Tate is trying to stand up here but Smash is controlling him well.

Smash clinches up with Tate and pushes him back against the cage.

Smash stands up from Tate's guard - Smash perhaps looking for a knockout.

Smash fakes the body blow, causing Tate to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Tate goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
