Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Remmy Shultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Remmy Shultz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dan Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Winston Alpacca and Peter Branson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shultz shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Johnson defends it nicely.
Shultz misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Johnson lands with a cross.
Shultz avoids a punch combination nicely.
Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Shultz has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Shultz there as he acknowledges the shot.
Shultz closes the distance and clinches up with Johnson, looking for a takedown. Shultz pushes Johnson against the cage but Johnson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Johnson throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Shultz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Shultz tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance.
Johnson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shultz on the side of the head.
Shultz closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Remmy Shultz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Johnson throws a one two combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Johnson misses with a straight right.
Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing.
Shultz dodges the punch combination from Johnson.
Johnson cracks a nice hook into Shultz's ribs.
Some wild striking there from Johnson.
Johnson throws a right and a left that both miss.

Johnson tries to sprawl but Shultz drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Shultz uses his free foot to push down on Johnson's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Johnson.
Shultz content just to control the position here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson tries to improve his position but instead Shultz has taken his back!
Will Shultz go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Johnson is trying to break free.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Shultz working for the rear naked choke here. He's got one arm under but Johnson is defending well. A couple of punches soften him up though and Shultz has tightened the hold! This one could be all over! It is! Johnson taps out!
