Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cedric Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ayden Whitey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cedric Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ayden Whitey!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Excellent takedown into side control there by Whitey.
Whitey wants to control but Miller is keeping him busy.
Whitey blocks the strikes from Miller.
Miller is not content to let Whitey control the position.
Miller pushes Whitey away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Whitey gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Miller managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Whitey.
Miller is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Whitey has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Whitey wants to control but Miller is keeping him busy.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ayden Whitey hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Whitey wants to clinch

and Miller moves into the clinch.
Whitey is trying to break the clinch but Miller is controlling him.

Miller pulls Whitey into guard.

Miller has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Whitey has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

Miller tightens his grip and picks Whitey up, before dumping him to the ground. Whitey manages to land in guard.
Whitey preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Whitey has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Miller is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Whitey.

You can see the frustration on Whitey's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Miller really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Whitey tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Miller prevents Whitey from getting the reversal.
Miller avoids the attempt from Whitey to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Miller lands with some strikes.
Miller pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Whitey is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Miller lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Miller is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Miller lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Whitey hang on?
BOOM! Miller connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Whitey tries to reverse the position but Miller maintains control.
Miller is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Whitey is desperately trying to improve his position but Miller has a good base and remains in mount.
Miller is landing with some decent strikes but Whitey is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Whitey takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Miller landing strikes from the mount and Whitey is in trouble!
Miller has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Whitey wants to hold on but Miller pushes him away.
Miller cracks Whitey with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Whitey tries to lock up and control but Miller gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Miller lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Miller postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Whitey looks a forlorn figure.

Miller is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Whitey pulls guard successfully.

Whitey is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.
Miller connects with a couple of short punches.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Miller's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Whitey looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Miller puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Whitey is trying to keep Miller in close.
Miller lands a couple of digs.
Miller postures up in Whitey's guard and throws a big left but Whitey blocks it.
Cedric Miller overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Miller is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Miller keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Whitey's head.

Miller has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Whitey can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Whitey pivots, looking for a leg kick but Miller is out of range and Whitey settles back down.
Whitey cracks Miller with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Miller clinches up with Whitey and pushes him back against the cage.

Whitey turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Miller is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Whitey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Miller moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Miller throws some shots to the body, keeping his opponent honest.

Miller controls Whitey momentarily but Whitey frees himself.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Whitey decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Whitey sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Miller's guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Cedric Miller.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Miller, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
