The crowd seem to be enjoying Pattersson's choice of entrance music: The Banana song Peel Banana. Doug Pattersson has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pattersson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Carvalho napping and manages to drive through into side control!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Pattersson connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Carvalho some visible discomfort.

Pattersson lands a strong strike to the head of Carvalho. That's dazed him! Pattersson looking to finish here. Carvalho is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Pattersson lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
