Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Very Magnum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Skalinskas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skalinskas has chosen Electric Six - Synthesizer as his entrance music. Very Magnum could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Tomas Skalinskas's chin.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skalinskas throws a head kick that Magnum semi-blocks.

It looks like Very Magnum has been cut.
Skalinskas's coach down at The Iron Palace was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Skalinskas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Magnum takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Skalinskas clinches up with Magnum and pushes him back against the cage.

Skalinskas escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Magnum gets caught flat footed, as Skalinskas shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Skalinskas has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Magnum is proving hard to escape from.
Skalinskas throws an elbow that misses. Magnum uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Skalinskas's guard. Nice move by Magnum!

Magnum wants to pass to mount but Skalinskas is defending the position.

Magnum seems to be working for a kimura but Skalinskas defends the submission attempt.
Skalinskas is pressing down on Magnum's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Magnum moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Skalinskas.

Skalinskas tries to bench press Magnum off him but Magnum keeps the position.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Magnum has hold of Skalinskas's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Skalinskas tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Magnum cranks the arm and Skalinskas screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Skalinskas, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
