Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tommy Victorio (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Victorio comes to the cage accompanied by Nightingale - The Glory Days. Steel has chosen Kollegah - Bossaura as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tommy Victorio!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Steel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Steel throws a lazy head kick

and Victorio counters by moving into the clinch.
Victorio blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Steel blocking some punches.
Victorio jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Steel walks away with a smile on his face. Victorio gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Steel looks to land a left hand but Victorio moved out of range nicely.
Victorio fails with a takedown attempt.
Steel looks to score with a jab to the body but Victorio is just out of range.
Victorio jabs at Steel's body.
Steel lands with a nice body punch.
Steel throws a jab but it's blocked by Victorio.
Victorio is looking to clinch.
Steel misses with an uppercut.
Steel lands a high kick!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Victorio gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Steel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Victorio.
Victorio feints and then cracks Steel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Steel down.
Good leg kick by Steel there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Victorio checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.

Victorio shoots in for a takedown but Steel shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

David Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Steel is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Victorio.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Victorio. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

You can see the frustration on Steel's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Steel sneaks back into half guard.
Steel is trying to get back to full guard.

Victorio decides to stand up.
Steel throws a looping overhand right but Victorio ducks down to avoid it.

Victorio throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Steel tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Victorio is in Steel's guard.
Victorio won't allow Steel to sweep him here.

Victorio distracts Steel with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Victorio wants to stand and escape but instead Steel has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Victorio is looking to sweep but instead, Steel has passed into half guard.
Steel is thwarting Victorio's attempts to control the position.
Steel perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Steel is trying to control. Victorio wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Victorio tries to roll over but Steel keeps him under control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Steel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Victorio pushes Steel back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Victorio is trying to maintain a safe position but Steel gets an underhook and turns Victorio into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Steel dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Victorio shoots in but Steel avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Victorio checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Steel just misses with a punch to the body.

Victorio bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Steel manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Steel decides to stand back up. Steel steps back and let's Victorio get back to his feet.

Victorio shoots for a takedown but Steel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Steel.
Nice uppercut lands for Steel. That snapped Victorio's head back.

OK we're going to have a standup here. David Steel hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Steel takes a swing at Victorio's ribcage but misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

David Steel showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Victorio's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Victorio uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Steel.
Steel slaps away a takedown attempt from Victorio, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Victorio is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Steel connects with an inside leg kick.
Steel lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Steel throws a body kick that misses.

Steel cracks Victorio with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Steel has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Victorio to stand back up!

and Steel counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Victorio out cold! What a finish! Steel is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!
