Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Helm!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kendrick Reese!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Gwen Towbar and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Helm throws a wild body kick that Reese sees coming a mile off.
Helm definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Reese tries to clinch but Helm is having none of it.

Helm forces Reese back against the cage and clinches.
Reese tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A nice left hand lands by Reese.
Helm wants to get back to striking at distance but Reese won't allow it.

Helm pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Helm tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Reese paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Reese is looking to clinch.
Helm misses with the combination.
Helm swats away the attempt to clinch by Reese.

Reese has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Reese instigates a clinch.
Helm tries to break free but Reese pushes him back against the cage.

Helm wants to get back to striking at distance but Reese won't allow it.
Reese is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Reese pushes Helm back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Helm gets through Reese's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Helm wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Reese is looking for a takedown.

Helm is trying to break the clinch but Reese has him pressed against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Helm's face as he tries to break the clinch.

James Helm has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kendrick Reese.

Reese pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Reese closes the distance but Helm moves to the side
and Helm counters with a right hand to the body.
Reese tries to clinch up.
Good standup being displayed there by Helm as he connects with a hook.
Helm tries to clinch but Reese is having none of it.
Reese loses concentration momentarily and Helm pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Reese crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Helm finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). James Helm!
James Helm gave a mention to Last 4 Clothes in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
In defeat, Kendrick Reese stepped up to the mic, saying 'I had a fun night. I'm staying at heavyweight. Many people say that I should fight at welterweight. No, I love the heavyweight division. James Helm did a great job.'.
