Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Joe Hughs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerome Miller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Miller has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Jerome Miller acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller throws a body kick, spinning off balance
and Hughs counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Miller looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Hughs shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Miller's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hughs stands up over Miller, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hughs connects with a couple of short punches.
Hughs passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Hughs lands a nice forearm strike.
