Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alfonzo Carver (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kenzi Sabacajan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kenzi Sabacajan has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Alfonzo Carver's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sabacajan fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Sabacajan connects with a high kick.
Carver stuffs the takedown attempt from Sabacajan. Sabacajan gets slowly back to his feet.
A head kick misses from Sabacajan.
Sabacajan tries to clinch but Carver moves out of range.

Sabacajan gets caught napping as Carver dives in and scores a takedown. Sabacajan manages to retain guard.
Carver postures up in Sabacajan's guard and throws a big left but Sabacajan blocks it.
Carver with a flurry of punches that miss.

Sabacajan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carver doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carver manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sabacajan is just content to waste time from the top position. Carver takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Sabacajan wants to stand but Carver is controlling his posture from full guard.
Carver is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sabacajan has hold of Carver's hands but Carver slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Sabacajan wants to control but Carver is keeping busy.
Carver really is a fat lump.
Carver winds up and cracks Sabacajan with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Carver lands a nice short elbow.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Carver dives in and grabs Sabacajan's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sabacajan pushes down on Carver's head and hops out.

Sabacajan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Sabacajan tries to clinch but Carver is having none of it.

Sabacajan won't allow Carver to get back to his feet.

Sabacajan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Carver, up you get!

Sabacajan changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Carver looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Sabacajan wants to lay and pray for a moment but Carver keeps working.

Carver is looking for a sweep.

Carver is looking to regain half guard here but Sabacajan keeps moving and retains side control.

Nice takedown defense from Sabacajan. No joy for Carver on that attempt.

Kenzi Sabacajan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


The fight stays on the outside here - Sabacajan looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Carver shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sabacajan defends it nicely.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Kenzi Sabacajan was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Carver gets caught flat footed, as Sabacajan shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Sabacajan postures up and lands a big shot to Carver's brow.

Sabacajan stands up from Carver's guard - Sabacajan perhaps looking for a knockout.

Kenzi Sabacajan comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sabacajan has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
