The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smart fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Chris Smart seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Smart lands a leg kick that knocks Kirkland off balance momentarily.
Smart moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Smart throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Smart darts in and clinches Kirkland up against the cage.
Smart is trying to force a seperation but Kirkland has the dominant position.
Kirkland stalling the fight.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Smart obliges.
Kirkland wants to take the fight to the mat but Smart manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Kirkland pulls Smart into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Smart has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Kirkland to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Smart is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Kirkland pulls down on the head and he's put Smart to sleep! This one is all over!
