Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pete Cuban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Missa Okami (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Missa Okami has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Pete Cuban!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Missa Okami!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami dives in and grabs Cuban's left leg, looking for a takedown. Cuban pushes down on Okami's head and hops out.
Cuban throws a combination that misses

and Okami counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Cuban wants to stand up but Okami is controlling him.
Cuban keeping moving, preventing Okami from controlling successfully.
Okami stays in close to Cuban's body and controls the position.
Okami won't allow Cuban to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Okami drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Okami trying to control the position from guard on top but Cuban is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Okami stops Cuban from standing up.
Okami pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cuban is keeping the position for now.
Okami slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Okami prevents Cuban from escaping the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Okami advances to mount.

Okami looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Okami tries to control but Cuban wriggling away.
Cuban is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Okami is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Cuban has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Cuban!
Cuban is looking to stand up but Okami won't let him.

Okami is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Cuban defends well.
Okami has a closed guard, preventing Cuban from standing up.

Okami has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cuban can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Cuban gets to his feet. Okami looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Cuban lands with a nice body kick.
Okami blocks a low kick nicely.
Cuban seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Okami lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Cuban circles away quickly and effectively.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Okami takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Cuban lands a leg kick that knocks Okami off balance momentarily.
Both fighters circling a little - Cuban finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Cuban thows a body shot but no joy.
Cuban connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Cuban throws a sloppy head kick and Okami moves out of range easily.
Cuban misses with a lunging right hand
and Cuban takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Cuban throws out a powerful jab.
Cuban lands a jab-cross combination.

It looks like Missa Okami has been cut.

Okami decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Pete Cuban will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Missa Okami's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Okami changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cuban tries to avoid it but Okami manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cuban to the ground. Cuban escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Oooooh!!! Cuban has knocked Okami down with a huge combo! Cuban steps away and waves a wobbly Okami back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Okami is rocked!
Pete Cuban seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Whack! Cuban lands a heavy head kick that drops Okami. The ref tackles Cuban to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Okami was done.
