Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Stanley Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seijuro Akashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ford scores with a takedown into Akashi's guard.
Ford trying to control the position from guard on top but Akashi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Ford tries to free his leg and advance position but Akashi is retaining full guard.
Akashi avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ford lands a couple of digs.
Ford is fighting to break Akashi's control of his arms but Akashi is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Seijuro Akashi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Ford looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ford tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Akashi swivels and escapes.
Akashi's coach down at Cozad The Island was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Akashi's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Akashi shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Ford counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Akashi's guard now.
Akashi is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Ford in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Akashi throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.

Ford has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Akashi to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Ford is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Akashi pulls down on the head and he's put Ford to sleep! This one is all over!
