Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Anssi Manninen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilles Wolfe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Anssi Manninen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gilles Wolfe!
The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Steve Erwin and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolfe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Wolfe wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manninen keeps working.
Wolfe scores with a couple of short elbows.

Wolfe working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Wolfe wants to control but Manninen is keeping him busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Manninen tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Wolfe wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Manninen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wolfe is looking to take a break and control but Manninen is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Wolfe lands a decent elbow from side control.
Wolfe remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Wolfe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wolfe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Wolfe is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Manninen knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wolfe connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Manninen some visible discomfort.
Manninen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Wolfe off and has taken his back!
Wolfe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Manninen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Manninen is trying to stick to Wolfe's back but Wolfe is turning into Manninen. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Manninen's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Wolfe.

Wolfe postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Manninen covers up, he's hurt! Wolfe keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Wolfe and the ref steps in to end the fight! Wolfe can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gilles Wolfe!
Gilles Wolfe spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
