The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Spade.
Spade throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Apollyon steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Spade. That one must have hurt.
Spade takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Nice body kick from Spade.
Spade pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Apollyon scores with a punch to the head.
Spade ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Apollyon takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Spade throws a head kick that Apollyon semi-blocks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Apollyon lands a really nice looking cross but Spade seems unphased.
Apollyon thows a body shot but no joy.
Spade misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Apollyon.
Spade lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Spade.

Apollyon gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Apollyon is pulling down on Spade's head to control his posture.

Spade is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Apollyon is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Spade misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Apollyon tries to buck Spade off but Spade is having none of it.
Spade has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Apollyon is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Spade asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Spade tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Spade has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Apollyon fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Scott Spade seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Apollyon connects with a solid leg kick.
Spade lands with a kick to the ribs.
Spade throws a wild body kick that Apollyon sees coming a mile off.
Spade closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Spade throws a leg kick which misses Apollyon's front leg but catches the back leg as Apollyon tries to avoid it.
Spade looks to land a body kick but Apollyon moved away.
A looping hook to the body misses from Spade. Apollyon does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Apollyon takes a swing at Spade's ribcage but misses.
Spade throws the kick towards the body but Apollyon avoids it.
Spade ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Spade connects with a leg kick. Apollyon looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Oh Apollyon is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Apollyon looks to throw a body kick

and Spade shoots in, scooping Apollyon off his feet. Spade is holding his opponent over his shoulder. He slams Apollyon to the mat and Apollyon is in big trouble! Spade is landing strikes to his unconscious foe and the ref dives in to end the fight! Spade is celebrating with his corner and rightfully so.
