Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pertti Kurikka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Vladimiros Manias!
The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Manias tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kurikka counters by clinching up.

Manias's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Kurikka misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Kurikka swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Manias shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kurikka pinned against the cage. Kurikka gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Manias tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Kurikka holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Manias fails to pull guard.
Kurikka looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Manias is trying to pull guard but Kurikka has him pressed against the cage.
Pertti Kurikka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vladimiros Manias.
Manias drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kurikka pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kurikka stuffs the takedown attempt from Manias. Manias gets slowly back to his feet.

Manias shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kurikka defends it nicely.

Manias throws a head kick but Kurikka moves out of range.

Kurikka lands a left and a right that send Manias crashing to the mat, dazed. Kurikka thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Manias avoids a punch combination nicely.
Manias gets caught by a brutal right hook which buckles his knees! Manias tries to backpedal with his spaghettilegs but Kurikka is headhunting and goes for the kill. A jab and a right hook connect and Manias buckles badly as his eyes roll back. The referee steps in and saves Manias!! Manias is complaining but he was clearly out on his feet. Kurikka throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Mmmm spit-tastic.
