Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ross Klaus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomoya Boehm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ross Klaus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Tomoya Boehm!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yukihiro Shimada and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Klaus moves into the clinch.
Boehm manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Klaus lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Klaus seems to be working for a kimura but Boehm defends the submission attempt.

Klaus is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Boehm wants to improve his position but Klaus is controlling well.
Klaus uses his free foot to push down on Boehm's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Boehm.
Boehm can't escape the position.

Boehm is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Klaus tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.

Klaus goes for an armbar but Boehm turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Boehm.
Klaus seems keen to control Boehm's posture.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Klaus in particular looking to stall.
Boehm is looking for a sweep. Klaus is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Boehm is in trouble now - Klaus has advanced to mount!

Boehm is in a horrible position here. Klaus smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

We've been informed that Boehm has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Boehm defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Klaus.
Klaus takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

A kick lands to the mid section there for Boehm.
Klaus circles away from the clinch attempt
and Klaus counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Boehm is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Klaus's half guard.
Boehm wants to control but Klaus is keeping him busy.

Klaus has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Boehm can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Klaus on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Klaus tries to get out of the position.

Klaus has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Boehm is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Klaus.

Boehm misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

Boehm might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Klaus haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Klaus tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Boehm wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Klaus prevents Boehm from moving into mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Klaus is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tomoya Boehm showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Boehm avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Boehm tries a low kick but Klaus avoids it.
Klaus lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Boehm circles away quickly and effectively.
Boehm connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.

Klaus shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Boehm's guard.

Klaus seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Boehm for as long as he can get away with.
Boehm tries to roll over but Klaus keeps him under control.

Klaus is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Boehm reverses the position - he's now on top in Klaus's guard.

Klaus is controlling Boehm's position as best he can from this difficult position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
