Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dave Batista (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Abbott (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Batista comes to the cage accompanied by wrecking ball. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Sandra Marshall and Winston Alpacca.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batista throws a solid leg kick but Abbott takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Batista.
Batista throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Abbott's coach down at Island Premium 20x CT's was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Abbott's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Batista thumps Abbott with a low kick.
We've been told by Batista's head coaches at Clean and Green that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Batista misses with a head kick.
Batista takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Batista goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Abbott digs a good hook to Batista's body.

Batista throws a sloppy head kick and Abbott moves out of range easily.

Batista shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Abbott throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Batista lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Batista lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Abbott fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Batista manages to avoid it.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Abbott throws a body punch but Batista moves out of range.
Batista takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Abbott checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Abbott misses with a straight left.
Batista misses with a double jab.
A combination from Abbott does no damage.

Abbott moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Batista doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Abbott blocks a low kick nicely.
Batista needs to keep his hands up - Abbott had a free shot at his head there.
Abbott misses with an uppercut.
Abbott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Batista attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.

Batista drops his hands for a split second and Abbott immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Batista face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Abbott follows up with a right hand that knocks Batista into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
