Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Curtis Bleekwood!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Obtuse Angle!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle lands a big shot that drops Bleekwood! Can he finish him?


Bleekwood is rocked!


It looks like Curtis Bleekwood has been cut.
Angle won't allow Bleekwood to sweep him here.
Oh Bleekwood is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Angleis looking to pass into half guard but Bleekwood pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Bleekwood is in guard.

Angle wants to get back to his feet but Bleekwood passes into half guard.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Angle is trying to get back to full guard.
Bleekwood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Angle keeps working.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bleekwood tries to close the distance and clinch up but Angle swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Bleekwood clinches up with Angle and pushes him back against the ropes.

Bleekwood pulls Angle into guard.
Bleekwood bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Angle's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Angle can't keep his opponent in guard - Bleekwood advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Bleekwood is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Bleekwood is nestled in close to Angle, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Bleekwood is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Bleekwood not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Bleekwood prevents Angle from improving his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bleekwood shoots in looking for a takedown. Angle tries to sprawl out of it but Bleekwood keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Angle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Curtis Bleekwood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Nice sprawl there from Angle as Bleekwood shoots in.
Bleekwood tries to clinch up.
Bleekwood tries to clinch but Angle is having none of it.
Bleekwood fails with a takedown attempt.

Bleekwood shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Angle but Angle pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Angle cracks Bleekwood with an uppercut from hell and Bleekwood crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Angle's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Bleekwood is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Bleekwood looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bleekwood keeping moving, preventing Angle from controlling successfully.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Angle throwing strikes but missing.
Angle wants to control from the top but Bleekwood keeps moving.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bleekwood is on top in guard.
Angle wants to hit a switch here but Bleekwood passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Angle there!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Obtuse Angle showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Angle waves his right hand out infront of him, looking to distract Bleekwood. Oh, he's unloaded a beast of a left hand - it worked! He's dropped Bleekwood to the canvas! Can he finish him!?
Angle wants to pass the guard but Bleekwood is keeping the position.

Angle is looking to advance position but Bleekwood has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Bleekwood wants to finish this one by submission but Angle is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Bleekwood.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bleekwood prevents Angle from getting the reversal.

Angle tries to improve his position but Bleekwood has taken his back! Bleekwood has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Angle tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Bleekwood pushes Angle away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Curtis Bleekwood!
