Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wally Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and KaiaK Rodrigues (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Wally Lara!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, KaiaK Rodrigues!
The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Edson Gomes and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodrigues lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Rodrigues.
It looks like Wally Lara has been cut.
Lara tries to keep at a distance but Rodrigues has taken the fight into the clinch.
Rodrigues breaks from the clinch.
Rodrigues scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Rodrigues fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Lara tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rodrigues swivels and escapes.
Lara could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Rodrigues looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Rodrigues lands a leg kick that knocks Lara off balance momentarily.
Lara takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
KaiaK Rodrigues seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Rodrigues forces Lara back against the cage and clinches.
Lara pulls guard successfully.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Lara has his hands on Rodrigues's head, controlling the position.
Rodrigues wanted to stand there but Lara had control of the position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rodrigues wants to stand and escape but instead Lara has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lara makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lara has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Lara won't allow Rodrigues to get back to his feet.
Lara postures up and lands a big shot to Rodrigues's brow.
Lara decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Rodrigues, up you get!
Rodrigues clinches.
Lara wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Rodrigues can't break the clinch.
Rodrigues breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A head kick misses from Lara.
Rodrigues swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
so Lara counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Lara stops Rodrigues from standing up.
Lara content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Lara prevents Rodrigues from getting back to his feet.
Lara keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Rodrigues's head.
Lara makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Lara gets to his feet. Rodrigues looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Rodrigues connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Lara shoots in for a takedown but Rodrigues shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Rodrigues's coach down at Forca Terrestre Academy $50 fee was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Rodrigues's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lara is breathing heavily.
Lara shoots in looking for a takedown but Rodrigues manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Lara's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wally Lara. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Lara takes one on the button.
Rodrigues lands a jab to the head.
Lara throws a wild hook but Rodrigues just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Lara gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Rodrigues raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). KaiaK Rodrigues!
