Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fumio Luk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gigi Romaro!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Aleksandr Martynov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romaro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Romaro forces Luk back against the cage and clinches.

Romaro pulls guard effortlessly.
Romaro is pulling down on Luk's head to control his posture.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Luk tries to free his leg and advance position but Romaro is retaining full guard.
We've been hearing that Luk has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

It looks like Fumio Luk has been cut.
Luk moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

Luk has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Romaro avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Luk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Romaro smiles and moves away.
Luk wants to land a leg kick but Romaro is out of range.

Luk defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Romaro.
Luk is looking to clinch but Romaro is avoiding it.

Luk tries to keep at a distance but Romaro has taken the fight into the clinch.
Romaro lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Luk or not.
Luk is trying to pull guard but Romaro turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Romaro has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Luk is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Fumio Luk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gigi Romaro.
Romaro is working for takedown but Luk is calmly controlling the position for now.
Romaro has Luk pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Luk manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Romaro has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Luk uses from the top position.

Romaro had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Luk defends it easily.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Romaro is trying to push Luk away but Luk has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Gigi Romaro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!



Romaro darts in and clinches Luk up against the cage.
Luk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Romaro smiles and moves away.
Romaro throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Luk gets tackled into the cage by Romaro. Romaro maintains the clinch.

Romaro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Gigi Romaro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Romaro closes the distance and clinches.
Romaro tries to circle away but Luk has him pinned against the cage.
Gigi Romaro seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Romaro is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
