PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Krauser Gotch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Care Taker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gotch's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Medieval War. Care Taker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Gotch. Taker does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gotch looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Taker closes the distance and pushes Gotch back into the cage.
Gotch tries a body shot but Taker blocks it.
Taker blocks an uppercut.
Gotch dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage.
Gotch stalling in the clinch but Taker improves position.
Taker drops down looking for an ankle pick but Gotch pulls his leg out and moves away.
Taker fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Gotch misses the shot to the body.
Taker goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

and Gotch counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Gotch.

Taker wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.

Gotch pulls guard.
Taker wants to control from the top but Gotch keeps moving.
Gotch looking for a sweep. Not yet Gotch, not yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gotch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Taker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Taker shoots and misses
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Krauser Gotch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Care Taker.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Taker throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gotch's waist but Gotch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Taker off to one side.

Gotch looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Taker shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Gotch but Gotch pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Gotch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Taker's guard.

Gotch works to advance to full mount. Taker defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Gotch throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Taker has his hands clasped together but Gotch breaks the hold and Taker is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Gotch!
