The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heist stuffs the takedown attempt from Njord. Njord gets slowly back to his feet.
Njord dodges the punch combination from Heist.
Njord has a takedown stuffed.
Njord uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Heist.
Heist dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Heist tests Njord's chin there with a solid looking shot.

It looks like Milton Njord has been cut.

Njord shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Heist as he avoids it easily.
Kendo Heist has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Milton Njord.
Njord shoots in looking for a takedown. Heist tries to sprawl out of it but Njord keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Heist manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Njord shoots for a takedown but Heist saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Njord has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Heist finds it's way round the side to connect with Njord's head.

Njord shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Heist defends it nicely.

No joy there for Heist, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Heist throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Njord on the side of the head.

and Heist counters with a nice body shot.

Njord shoots in but no luck this time.
Heist throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Njord is defended easily by Heist.

Njord scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Njord is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Heist knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Njord is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Heist is trying to escape and Njord transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Heist is forced to tap! Nice work there by Njord! Very nice indeed!
