Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Doe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Izudin Han (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Izudin Han is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, John Doe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Izudin Han!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Chad Campbell and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Han misses with a low kick.
Han throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Doe avoids the head kick by Han.
Han tries to work over Doe's front leg with a kick but Doe checks it.
Han throws a solid leg kick but Doe takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Han.
Han misses with a low kick.
Han throws out a leg kick but Doe moves out of range and Han only half commits.
Han throws a chopping leg kick but Doe manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Doe's corner calls for a 1-2. Doe obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Han has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Doe swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Doe scores with a kick to the midsection.
Han tries to score with a low kick but Doe moves his leg out of the way.
Han tries a head kick but it misses.

and Doe counters with a single leg into guard. Han didn't expect that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Doe passes Han's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Well, if Doe is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Still in half guard, Doe seems content to control.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Doe.
Han takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Doe closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Doe lands in his opponent's guard.
Han is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Doe is stalling in the full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Doe just wasn't active enough.
Han throws a head kick that misses

and Doe counters with a single leg into guard. Han didn't expect that.
Doe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Doe has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Doe prevents Han from getting back to his feet.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Han keeping full guard, as Doe tries to pass.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Doe just wasn't active enough.
Doe pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Han throws a sloppy head kick and Doe moves out of range easily.
Doe checks the leg kick nicely there.
Doe looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Izudin Han seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Han throws a leg kick

and Doe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Doe dominated that round.
That's time! Doe's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Han throws a low kick but Doe avoids it.
A head kick by Han misses

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
and Doe counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Doe in particular looking to stall.
Doe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Doe sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.

Han bucks up and throws Doe to the side - he's got back to his feet. Great escape!

Doe fails with a takedown attempt.
Han throws a leg kick but Doe sees it coming and moves out of range.
Doe blocks a low kick nicely.
Han throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Han misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Han pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Han will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Jab by Doe.
Doe looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Han throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Doe shoots in looking for a takedown. Han tries to sprawl out of it but Doe keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Han manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Doe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Han misses with a head kick.
Doe avoids the head kick by Han.
Han tries a head kick but it misses.
Han throws a sloppy head kick

and Doe counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Han is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Doe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Han's guard.
Doe wants to pass to mount but Han is defending the position.
Doe is working hard here to advance position.
Doe keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

The ref stands the fighters back up because John Doe just wasn't active enough.
Han throws a sloppy head kick

and Doe decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Han's guard.
Doe advances position into side control!
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Doe is looking to take a break and control but Han is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of John Doe.
Han moves out of range of the body kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Han scoring well with a low kick there.
Doe tests Han's chin there with a solid looking shot.

and Doe counters with a slam - OH, Han IS OUT! HE'S OUT COLD! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). John Doe!
John Doe seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
